Being brought up with a master potter as a Mum was pretty interesting.

There were always lessons going on and orders to fulfil and my brother and I would take turns running to the kiln to turn it up every hour to the next temperature setting. We used to travel hours to get clay. Still do actually!

I have been around pottery all my life, with a hiatus whilst raising kids. Helping with workshops, making and painting. It feels like second nature.

I hope to give you the opportunity to experience this wonderful art and bring you into the world of pottery, to create these pieces that last generations, with care.

it’s an art that teaches patience, and it’s an art that teaches you “wabi sabi” … finding the beauty in imperfection. It’s really something worth embracing!

So how did the Wonky Wheel Pottery Studio get its name?

I started with just one very old wonky wheel, an extremely supportive husband who fixed my wonky wheel, and a love for pottery. Humble beginnings ♥️
